There has been a lot of great snooker happening over the past couple of months and the best part is there is still more to come!Recently, there have been the UK Grand Prix and The Masters but the most interesting one has to be the 'Legends of Snooker' mini tournament. With classic players including Stephen Hendry, Jimmy White, Ken Doherty and Alex Higgins, it was definitely the tournament not to miss. A chance to see the legends in action, battling it out once again is a must for every snooker fan. However, as Stephen Hendry puts it, "I'm here to play with some old friends" - it doesn't really sounds like the fierce competition of old.
The mini tournament produced some classic snooker, with Cliff Thornburn defeating Alex Higgins in the early rounds, Ken Doherty sweeping past Nigel Bond to advance to the final to face Stephen Hendry. It was an epic battle and re-match of the 1997 World Championship but it was Stephen Hendry who walked away with the title after defeating Ken Doherty 5-3.
