This week sees the exciting climax of the Pukka Pies UK Championship at Prestatyn, Wales.
It has been an exciting tournament so far, with some great matches and performances from the players. Early on this week, 22 year old Jordan Brown's title hopes in the UK Championship were ended after a convincing defeat at the hands of Andy Hicks. After coming back from the break, Hicks won four out of the five frames to win 9-4. Andy Hicks will advance to the next round where he will face Mike Dunn.
Despite a valiant comeback, James Wattana failed to beat Robert Milkins who moves on to face Martin Gould. With a place in the final stage of the qualifiers at stake, it is bound to be an exciting match.
With a dramatic century in the final frame, Peter Lines advanced past Chinese player Xiao Guodong with a 9-8 victory and 1994 winner Alan McManus' victory over Rod Lawler means he will face Thepchaiya Un-Nooh from Thailand.
Elsewhere, former world Champion John Parrott was defeated in an epic 7 hour battle by Patrick Wallace, where Patrick potted 77 in the final frame to claim victory and advancing to the next round.
The results from round two are as follows:

There has been a lot of great snooker happening over the past couple of months and the best part is there is still more to come!
Recently, there have been the UK Grand Prix and The Masters but the most interesting one has to be the 'Legends of Snooker' mini tournament. With classic players including Stephen Hendry, Jimmy White, Ken Doherty and Alex Higgins, it was definitely the tournament not to miss. A chance to see the legends in action, battling it out once again is a must for every snooker fan. However, as Stephen Hendry puts it, "I'm here to play with some old friends" - it doesn't really sounds like the fierce competition of old.
The mini tournament produced some classic snooker, with Cliff Thornburn defeating Alex Higgins in the early rounds, Ken Doherty sweeping past Nigel Bond to advance to the final to face Stephen Hendry. It was an epic battle and re-match of the 1997 World Championship but it was Stephen Hendry who walked away with the title after defeating Ken Doherty 5-3.
